• TEMBO -Tembotrione 34.4% SC Broad-Spectrum Post-Emergence Herbicide with Surfactant for Broad Leaf and Grassy Weed Control in Corn TEMBO is a broad-spectrum post-emergence herbicide that is advised for use in conjunction with a surfactant to suppress grassy and broadleaf weeds in maize.

Mode of Action

• The active ingredient in TEMBO, tembotrione inhibits the four hydroxy-phenylpyruvate-dexygenase (4 HPPD) enzymes.
• The inhibition of the enzyme prevents the production of carotenoids, which are plant pigments.
• Depletion of carotenoids deprives chlorophyll, where photosynthesis occurs, of its defence against an excess of light, causing chlorophyll bleaching.
• Within a few days of treatment, the complete weed-control effect of Lemar activity is evident, and its symptoms manifest quickly.
