  • Mode of Action: Hifield Ethefon is a versatile plant growth regulator that generates ethylene, which causes plants to reorganize cell development, resulting in reduced elongation when exposed to ethylene. Ethephon is commonly used to inhibit stem elongation in containerized crops. It’s also effective for preventing premature flowering, especially in large containers with long crop times. Additionally, ethephon enhances branching by diminishing apical dominance, allowing axillary buds to develop into branches even without mechanical pinching.

Recommended Crops: All crops

Method of Application: Foliar Spray

Dosage: 1 To 1.5 ml/ L of water

Mango

  • Flower induction in juvenile mango: 308-410 ml/ Acre in 600-800 of water
  • Breaking alternate bearing: 1538-2051 ml/ Acre in 600-800 L of water
  • Post-harvest treatment: 770-1025 ml/ Acre in 600-800 L of Water

Pineapple

  • Flower induction: 154-205 ml/ Acre in 600-800 L of water (2.5 ml in 10 lit water).

Coffee (Arabica)

  • Uniform ripening of berries: 295-395 ml/ Acre in 600-800 L of water (5 ml in 10 L of water)

Coffee (Robusta)

  • Uniform ripening of berries: 86-115 ml/ Acre in 600-800 L of Water (2.5 ml in 10 L water)

Tomato

  • Post-harvest treatment 65 ml in 10 L of water

Cucumber

  • 64ml- 128 ml/ Acre, at 5 leaf stage of cucumber, 200-400 L of water, dissolve 65 ml formulation in 10 L of water.

Rubber:

  • March, August, September & November, four times bark swabbing, Dissolve 26 ml formulation in 10 L of water.
