Mode of action:
It is having dual mode of action. Profenofos is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme acetyl cholinesterase, which is essential for the transmission of impulses between nerve cells. It binds tightly to and inhibit the enzyme acetylcholinesterase and disrupts nerve impulse transmission by acting in synaptic regions of insect nerve cell.
While cypermethrin is a Sodium channel modulator, it inhibits the sodium ion entry into the nerve cells which leads to the hyperexcitation of the nerves
This nerve overstimulation followed by convulsions and paralysis leads to death of the target insect
Mode & time of application:
Foliar spray is recommended
Take the recommended quantity of PYERETER SUPER in a bucket half filled with water and mix with agitation, add remain recommended quantity of water with continuous. The volume of total water required will depend on crop stage, crop cover, the total area to be treated and the type of sprayer used
First spraying is recommended as soon as insects begin to appear (at economic threshold level). The second spray is recommended 10 to 15 days after first spraying
Safety instruction & antidote:
Uniform spray should be advisable
Do not mix with bare hands
Do not spray against the wind direction
Wear safety equipment’s such as gloves, aprons, masks, etc.
Do not smoke, drink, eat and chew anything while spraying
Avoid contact with mouth, eyes and skin
Take bath properly after application
Antidode–
Administer Atropine Sulphate intravenously 2 – 4 mg at 5 – 10 minutes interval until the symptoms of poisoning disappear.
