Product Description
About Paecinemo
Paecinemo (Paecilomyces lilacinus) by Vijaya Agro Industries is a bio-nematicide used for controlling nematodes that attack plant roots. It effectively controls eggs, juveniles and adult females of various plant parasitic nematodes in crops such as tomato, brinjal, chilli, grapes and pomegranate. By acting as an egg pathogenic fungus, Paecinemo helps protect the root system from nematode damage across a wide range of field and horticultural crops. It works through direct action on nematode eggs and juveniles and is suitable for seed treatment or drip irrigation in recommended crops.
Paecinemo Technical Composition
Paecilomyces lilacinus (CFU count: 1 x 10⁹/ml)
Mode of Action
Paecinemo works through Paecilomyces lilacinus, an egg pathogenic fungus that acts directly on plant parasitic nematodes. It kills nematode eggs, juveniles and adult females, which helps bring down nematode populations in the root zone and protects the crop's root system from nematode damage.
Key Features and Benefits of Paecinemo
- Targets multiple nematode life stages: Kills eggs, juveniles and adult females of various plant parasitic nematodes.
- Wide range of activity: Effective against species including Meloidogyne incognita, M. javanica, Rotylenchulus reniformis, Heterodera avenae and several other plant parasitic nematode species.
- Egg pathogenic action: Works as a biocontrol fungus that specifically targets nematode eggs, helping break the pest cycle at its source.
- Protects root health: Helps safeguard the crop's root system from nematode attack across a wide range of crops.

Paecinemo Expert Advice
" Vijaya Agro Paecinemo is applied through drip irrigation once nematode damage is suspected in the root zone, since Paecilomyces lilacinus works directly on nematode eggs and juveniles. Preparing the slurry a day or two in advance helps the fungal culture activate before it reaches the crop."–BigHaat Agronomy Expert
