Product Description

About Touchdown Herbicide

Touchdown herbicide is a non-selective, systemic, and post-emergence herbicide containing Glyphosate 41% SL as its active ingredient. It is used to control annual and perennial grasses and broadleaf weeds in tea plantations and non-cropped areas.

Since it is a non-selective herbicide, it can damage any green crop tissue if spray drift occurs.

Touchdown Technical Name

Glyphosate 41% SL (Isopropylamine Salt of Glyphosate)

Product Specifications

Mode of Entry: Systemic

Time of Application: Post-emergence

Mode of Action: Touchdown Herbicide inhibits the EPSP synthase enzyme responsible for the synthesis of essential amino acids in weeds. After spraying, the herbicide moves from leaves to roots through translocation and gradually stops weed growth, and starts yellowing, dry and die.

Key Features & Benefits of Touchdown Herbicide

  • Systemic weed control: Moves inside weeds up to roots and underground parts for better control.
  • Effective on actively growing weeds: Best results obtained on young weeds with active growth.
  • Useful for general weed management: Helps keep field bunds, plantation rows, and non-crop areas clean.
