Solitude is a broad spectrum herbicide for control of broad leaved weeds and grasses. Based on active ingredient Imazathapyr, it is taken up by the weeds through roots and leaves. Solitude has sufficient residual effect to give weed control not only in the early stages but also in subsequent flushes.

Mode of Action :

Imazathapyr belongs to the chemical group Imidazolinone and acts by inhibiting the Acetolactate Synthase (ALS), an enzyme which is Important in protein synthesis within the plant. This leads to disruption of the DNA synthesis and cell growth.

Recommendations for Use:

Method of application: Imazahapyr should be applied as early post emergent herbicide in Soybean and Groundnut i.e. 7-14 days after sowing when the leaves are in 1-2 leaf stage.

For spraying one acre: add 300 ml of Solitude in 150 L of water, add the booster (Ammonium sulphate) 2 gm per litre of water and spreading & wetting agent at the rate of 1.5 ml per litre of water.

Spray uniformly over the entire field without overlapping.
