Process: Step 1 - Prepare bed with help of 14 side pocket for holding vermibed by Bamboo or similar material. Step 2 - Prepare 4 layer as per following process- Layer 1: After preparing the bed, add chopped dry straw in 1st layer it will helps to hold moisture & Aeration for Earthworms. Layer 2: Add 15 day old cow dung in 2nd layer. Cow dung is food for earthworms Layer 3 : Again add dried straw and Sprinkle some water on dry straw to maintain moisturize. Make sure the moisture level shall not exceed 35-40%. Layer 4: Again add 15 day old cow dung on top of vermibed Make sure Vermi Bed completely fills up and distribute Cow dung to maintain uniform load in the Vermi Bed. Step 3- Sprinkle water on top of Bed, maintain moisture for Earth Worms. Now distribute Earth Worms into the Vermi Bed, Just leave them on the Vermi Bed. Cover the bed, ensure no Direct sunlight hits the bed. Compost takes 60-80 days for preparation. Uses: - Production of -vermicompost, Earthworms & Organic manure for agricultural -It is also useful in urban areas for making compost manure from household wet waste.
