  • Technical Name: Chlorfenapyr 240 g/L SC
  • Mode of Entry: Stomach and some Contact
  • Mode of Action: Pirate acts on the power houses of the insect's cells – inhibits respiration and energy production. Pirate process involved in disrupting the transformation of ADP into ATP: Uncouplers of oxidative phosphorylation via disruption of the proton gradient Protonophores that short-circuit the mitochondrial proton gradient so that ATP cannot be synthesized.

  • Time of Application: It should be applied preferably in the morning or evening. Avoid application under high wind. It should not be applied within 2 hours of anticipated rainfall.

  • The product is toxic to honeybees. Do not spray during active spray foraging period of the day.
  • No specific antidote is known. Treat symptomatically.
