Irma Insecticide Technical Details
- Technical Name: Emamectin Benzoate 5% SG
- Mode of Action: Irma acts on nerve cells to suppress muscle contraction. The insect gets paralyzed and stops feeding within hours of ingesting it, thus prevents subsequent crop damage. Irma is a stomach action and should be ingested by the large to be most effective. Affected larvae become paralyzed and stop feeding shortly after exposure to Irma and subsequently die after 2-4 days.
- Emamectin is a derivative of abamectin produced by the fermentation of oil actinomycetes, streptomyces and avermitilis.
