Avtar is a broad-spectrum fungicide used to control diseases that damage crops. It controls diseases like sheath blight, brown spot, blast, grain discoloration, black rot, gray blight, blister blight, scab, premature leaf fall, Alternaria leaf spot/blight, powdery mildew, core rot, maydis leaf blight, Turcicum blight, leaf spot, and boll rot.
Avtar Fungicide contains Hexaconazole 4% + Zineb 68% WP that kills fungus by both contact and systemic action.
Avtar Fungicide is recommended to be used for paddy, tea, apple, maize, and cotton for controlling a range of diseases.
Components of Avtar Fungicide act differently. Zineb acts by contact action while Hexaconazole acts systemically with preventive, curative and eradicative actions. It stops fungal spore formation and stops their growth.
Avtar Fungicide is generally used at a dosage of
• 1.25-2.5 g/liter of water
• 250-500 g in 200 liters of water per acre
• 18.75-37.5 g/15 liter pump

To get the best results, mix a spreader or sticker (adjuvant) with Avtar Indofil Fungicide. The number of sprays depends on damage severity. The first spray should be done soon after the infection while the subsequent sprays can be taken after 10-15 days. Use a high-volume knapsack sprayer to get effective coverage.
Avtar Fungicide can be less harmful to beneficial insects. Since it is a broad-spectrum fungicide, it may affect pollinators. To reduce the risk of harming beneficial insects, it is advisable to spray during early morning or late afternoon.
Choose a non-windy or no-rain day to apply Avtar Fungicide to avoid drifting and washing away. Cooler hours of the day, like early morning or late afternoon, are ideal for spraying. It is advised to spray Avtar Fungicide as soon as the infection is spotted.
