• Dr. Bacto’s Meta 4K has the fungus Metarhizium anisopliae which is entomopathogenic fungi that controls chickpea leaf folder in chickpea mainly.
• These are natural mortality agents and environmentally safe used for biological control of insects and other arthropod pests.

MODE OF ACTION:

• The general mode of infection of Metarhizium species comprises six stages in the following order: adhesion, germination, appressorium formation, penetration, colonization of haemolymph, extrusion with sporulation which can also be found in other entomopathogenic fungi.
• Benefits: It used for biological control of insects and other arthropod pests.
• Target Pests: Root Weevils, Plant Hoppers, Japanese Beetle, Black vine weevil, Mealy bugs, White grubs etc.
