- Missile Insecticide is a modern insecticide of the Avermectin group.
- It is a multipurpose world renowned soluble granular insecticide.
- Missile gives effective control of caterpillars by its contact and stomach poison action.
Missile Insecticide Technical Details
- Technical Name : Emamectin Benzoate 5% SG
- Mode of Entry: Non-systemic with Contact and Stomach action
- Mode of Action: Missile insecticide due to its translaminar activity penetrates leaf tissues and forms a reservoir within the leaf. It inhibits muscle contraction, causing a continuous flow of chlorine ions in the GABA and H-Glutamate receptor sites. Affected larvae become paralyzed and stop feeding shortly after exposure to Insecticide and subsequently die after 2-4 days.
