Product Specifications

Mode of Entry: Contact and ingestion action

Mode of Action: Cover belongs to the anthranilic diamide group of insecticides.

Chlorantraniliprole acts on ryanodine receptors (RyR) in insect muscles, causing uncontrolled release of calcium ions from muscle cells. This results in muscle contraction, paralysis, feeding cessation and eventual death of target insects. The product is most effective through ingestion, while also providing contact activity.

Time of Application: Apply Cover at the early stage of pest infestation or when pest population reaches the economic threshold level.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Broad spectrum pest control: Cover controls important chewing pests including stem borers, leaf folders, bollworms, fruit borers, pod borers, diamondback moth, tobacco caterpillar, fall armyworm and other labelled pests.
  • Novel mode of action: Chlorantraniliprole provides a unique mode of action by targeting insect ryanodine receptors.
  • Rapid feeding cessation: The product helps stop pest feeding after ingestion of treated plant material.
  • Long duration protection: Cover provides extended residual protection against target pests.
  • Wide crop application: Cover is recommended for rice, cabbage, cotton, sugarcane, tomato, chilli, brinjal, pigeon pea, soybean, maize, groundnut and other crops listed in the recommendation.
  • Phytotoxicity: No phytotoxicity at recommended dosages.
  • Supports yield protection: By reducing pest damage, Cover helps protect crop growth and yield potential.
