Product Description

About AGRIVENTURE MYCOMAN Bio Fertilizers

  • Vesicular-Arbuscular Mycorrhiza (VAM) is a beneficial, mutualistic symbiosis between certain soil fungi and plant roots.
  • The fungus penetrates the root cells, providing the plant with water and immobile nutrients (like phosphorus and zinc) in exchange for photosynthesized carbohydrates

Technical Content of AGRIVENTURE MYCOMAN Bio Fertilizers

  • Vesicular Arbuscular Mycorrhiza

Mode of Action

  • Mycorrhizae are nothing but a fungus root association. Vesicular arbuscular mycorrhizae (VAM) is an obligate symbiont and they cannot be cultured in nutrient medium.
  • They help in plant growth through their hyphae that absorb phosphorus from the labile pool.

Crop & Disease/Pest Mapping

  • Highly Suitable CropsVAM forms an incredibly beneficial relationship with a vast majority of agricultural plants.
  • Cereals & Millets: Rice, wheat, maize, sorghum, barley, and bajra.
  • Pulses & Oilseeds: Chickpea (chana), p igeon pea, mung, lentils, mustard, soybean, and groundnut.
  • Vegetables: Tomatoes, eggplants (brinjal), chilli, okra, onions, garlic, potatoes, and cucumbers.
  • Cash Crops & Fruits: Cotton, sugarcane, citrus fruits, bananas, and papaya.
  • Non-Suitable or Low-Response Crops
  • Some plant families do not form symbiotic relationships with VAM fungi or have extremely low dependency. Do not rely on VAM inoculants for:
  • Brassicaceae Family: Broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, canola, mustard, kale, radish, and turnips.
  • Other Exceptions: Spinach, beet, carnations, and members of the heath family (e.g., blueberries, azaleas).

Dosage per Acre

  • Dose: 1kg / acre

Key Features & Benefits

  • Agricultural & Ecological Benefits As a natural biofertilizer, VAM is highly valued in sustainable agriculture and ecosystem health for several reasons
  • Enhanced Nutrient Uptake: Dramatically increases the absorption of phosphorus, nitrogen, sulfur, zinc, and copper.
  • Stress Tolerance: Helps plants survive abiotic stresses such as drought, soil salinity, and heavy metal toxicity.
  • Disease Resistance: Strengthens the plant's natural defenses against root-borne pathogens and nematodes.
  • Improved Soil Health: Fungal hyphae produce a sticky protein called glomalin, which binds soil particles together, preventing erosion and improving water retention and aeration
