MODE OF ACTION
- Oxadiargyl inhibits an enzyme crucial for photosynthesis in weeds, preventing the production of chlorophyll and causing the plants to die. Pretilachlor, a member of the chloroacetamide herbicide group, works by inhibiting cell division in weed seeds. This prevents the seeds from germinating and growing, ultimately killing the weeds.
