Infected plants turn yellow and wilt on one side of the plant, which look stunted. The leaves turn bright yellow, plants start to wilt during hot part of day and recover during cool part of the day (night). The leaves wither, wilt and drop off. The roots may also be infected, showing dark brown streaks. Browning of vascular tissue is characteristic symptom of fusarium wilt. Fusarium wilt occurs in group of plants in patches.
