Bacterial wilt usually occurs particularly in low lying areas with water accumulation. Symptom includes wilting of leaves initially at the end of the branches during the hot part of the day which recover during cool hours of the day in evening and early morning. The leaves fall off, under severe condition there will be yellowing of foliage and complete wilting of the plant in severe condition. Stem get brown discoloration and young stem collapse. If the cross section of the affected stem and put in clear water, it will produce a milky white liquid, its indication of bacteria infection. The growth become stunted in bacterial wilt infection. Effective control of Bacterial wilt disease should be done. Infection will be there in individual plants not in group.
