• Mode of Action: Chess insecticide, which contains the active ingredient Pymetrozine (50% WG), involves a unique mechanism that targets pests, particularly Rice plant hoppers (BPH). Upon contact, it paralyzes their hind legs, causing immobility and preventing them from feeding on crops. This starvation leads to their eventual death. Moreover, it inhibits insects from laying eggs, curtailing the next generation, and effectively reducing the pest population in the treated area. This comprehensive action makes Chess a potent tool in safeguarding crops from pest-related damage.

Additional Information

• Chess Insecticide provides excellent control of resistant plant hoppers, when used at the right stage of the crop i.e. at the panicle initiation stage (55-60 DAT).
