About Suntech Minerva 505 Insecticides

• MINERVA 505 Insecticide is a Suntech Agriscience product.
• It contains Chlorpyriphos 50% + Cypermethrin 5% EC.
• It is a potent, broad-spectrum pre-mix insecticide combining an organophosphate and a synthetic pyrethroid in an emulsifiable concentrate formulation, providing strong contact, stomach, and fumigant action with rapid knockdown capability.
• MINERVA 505 Insecticide is used against bollworms (American, pink, and spotted bollworms), Spodoptera litura (tobacco caterpillar), stem borers, leaf folders, diamondback moths (DBM), fruit and shoot borers, aphids, jassids, thrips, and whiteflies.
• It is recommended on cotton, paddy (rice), vegetables (chilli, tomato, brinjal, cabbage, okra), sugarcane, pulses, and oilseeds.

Mode of Action

• Mode of Entry: Acts through multiple pathways including direct contact, stomach ingestion, translaminar action, and strong vapor (fumigant) action that flushes out hidden pests.  
• Mode of Action: Chlorpyriphos inhibits the acetylcholinesterase (AChE) enzyme, causing continuous neuro-excitation, while Cypermethrin disrupts voltage-gated sodium channel dynamics in the nerve axonic membranes, causing rapid knockdown, paralysis, and pest death.
