Dantop WDG Insecticide

• Dantop is a systemic insecticide which is highly effective against chewing and sucking insects. Crops are protected against insect damage by its quick knock down and long residual action. Moreover, it has translaminar action that enables it to kill sucking insects like thrips that stay at the underside of leaves which ordinary systemic insecticides cannot control.

MODE OF ACTION

• Translocate easily from already treated leaves to newly formed leaves; Controls a wide range of pests - homopteran, heteropteran, coleoptera, dipterans and Thysanoptera, lepidoptera, orthoptera;
• After application, the product is assimilated into the body of insects orally or by contact;
• It acts on the nervous system, by continuous excitation of the nerves thus creating convulsions, paralysis, and death;
• Does not cause phytotoxicity to plants, and it affects the laying of eggs and feeding processes of insects.

DOSAGE

• Paddy:
• TIME OF APPLICATION: Apply Dantop at the time of early infestation.
• DOSAGE: 12-16 gm per acre.
• METHOD OF APPLICATION: Recommended dose of dantop should be mixed with 200 liters of water per acre and sprayed at 45-60 days after transplanting.
• Tea:
• TIME OF APPLICATION: Apply Dantop at the time of early infestation.
• DOSAGE: 24-48 gm per acre.
• METHOD OF APPLICATION: Make a solution of the recommended quantity of Dantop in 200 liters of water per acre and spray it on flowering.
• Cotton:
• TIME OF APPLICATION: Spray Dantop at the time of early infestation for Jassid and Whitefly.
• DOSAGE: 12-16 gm per acre.
• METHOD OF APPLICATION: As soon as possible after the germination (within 7 days) by soil drenching technique.
• Sugarcane:
• TIME OF APPLICATION: Apply Dantop at The Time of Sowing.
• DOSAGE: 100 gm per acre.
• METHOD OF APPLICATION: Use soil drenching technique for application with 400 liters of water per acre.
