• AGRIVENTURE CALCIUM EDTA (often called edetate calcium disodium) is a synthetic compound that acts as a powerful metal-binding agent (chelator).
• It is primarily used in medicine to treat severe heavy metal poisoning, and in agriculture and food manufacturing to preserve quality and improve nutrient absorption.

Mode of Action

• Protection from Lockout: In typical agricultural soils, especially those with high pH, calcium ions readily form insoluble compounds. EDTA chelates the calcium ion to keep it in a highly bioavailable state.
• Enhanced Plant Uptake: The chelated complex remains electrically neutral and inert, allowing the nutrient to be easily absorbed by plant roots (via fertigation/soil application) or leaf stomata (via foliar spray).
• Systemic Mobility: Once absorbed, the Calcium EDTA complex translocate easily through the plant's vascular system, safely delivering the calcium to rapidly growing meristematic tissues and developing fruits
• Nutrient Release: Upon reaching the target plant cells, the calcium is released for metabolic use, while the remaining EDTA molecule is naturally processed or broken down by the plant.
