Tafaban Insecticide Technical Details

  • Technical Content: Chlorpyrifos 20% EC
  • Mode of Entry: Non-systemic with contact stomach and fumigant action
  • Mode of Action: Chlorpyrifos is a broad-spectrum insecticide which kills insects upon contact by affecting the normal function of the nervous system. It affects the nervous system by inhibiting the breakdown of acetylcholine (ACh), a neurotransmitter.

Tafaban Insecticide Usage & Crops

  • Target Pests: Hispa, leaf folder, gall midge, yellow stem borer, whorl maggot, black bug, early shoot & stalk borer, aphid, bollworm, white fly and cutworm, root grub & termites
  • Dosage: 2 ml/ L of water
  • Method of Application: Foliar spray, soil drenching, seedling dip, and seed treatment

Additional Information

  • Tafaban Insecticide exhibits synergistic action with Cypermethrin and Deltamethrin.
  • Tafaban is compatible with all existing plant protection chemicals presently available in the market.
  • It is not phytotoxic on any crops if used at recommended doses.
