About Product

  • Rilon Insecticide is a highly potent new insecticide for use on lepidoptera (Caterpillars) and thrips in cotton and high valued edible crops viz.,vegetables and fruits.
  • It belongs to avermectin group of insecticides.
  • Highly effective on all stages of larva and resistant pest species.
  • It is primarily a stomach insecticide with translaminar action which kills the hidden pests under the surface of leaves.

 

Rilon Insecticide Technical Details

  • Technical Content: Emamectin benzoate 5% SG
  • Mode of Entry: Stomach and Contact action
  • Mode of Action: Rilon Insecticide penetrates into leaf tissues (translaminar activity) and forms a reservoir within the leaf. It inhibits muscle contraction, causing a continuous flow of chlorine ions in the GABA and H-Glutamate receptor sites. Affected larvae become paralyzed and stop feeding shortly after exposure to Rilon Insecticide and subsequently die after 2-4 days.

Additional Information

  • Compatible with most of the currently available commercial insecticides.
  • Emamectin benzoate is produced by a naturally occurring bacterium known as Streptomyces avermitilis which exhibits toxicity for pests.
