- Mode of Action: Merger Fungicide, a combination of Tricyclazole and Mancozeb, offers a comprehensive approach to plant protection. Tricyclazole is a systemic fungicide that acts as a protectant, preventing fungal penetration and is especially effective against rice blast disease. On the other hand, Mancozeb is a contact fungicide that provides broad-spectrum protection by inactivating the sulphahydral (SH) groups in fungal enzymes, crucial for their metabolic activities. Together, these components provide robust disease control, safeguarding crops from a variety of fungal threats.
