EBS SAFAYA

• Safaya is a quaternary nitrogen herbicide containing Paraquat dichloride 24% SL widely used for weed control. It is a quick-acting, non-selective compound, that destroys green plant tissue on contact and by translocation within the plant. Safaya is also used as a crop desiccant and defoliant and as an aquatic herbicide. Safaya is inactivated in contact with soil.
• Caution:
• Uniform spray should be advisable. Always use clean water for preparing a solution of safaya. Do not spray during foggy climates. Do not mix with bare hands. Always spray using the hood, to avoid drift on the main crop. Ensure sufficient soil moisture at the time of spraying. Wear safety equipment such as gloves, aprons, masks, etc. Do not smoke, drink, eat, or chew anything while spraying. Avoid contact with mouth, eyes, and skin. Take a bath properly after application. Antidote – No specific antidote is known. Treat symptomatically.
