About Product

  • Almite is a biological insecticide based on a selected strain of naturally occurring entomopathogenic fungus Paecilomyces fumosoroseus.
  • It has bio insecticidal action on all stages of the life cycle of the different pest species especially in the immature stages (eggs and larvae).
  • It can be used in integrated and biological control programs and can be rotated with other insecticides.

  • Technical Content: Paecilomyces fumosoroseus sp (1x10 POWER 8 CFUs/ml) Min - 1.50%
  • Mode of Entry: Contact or by ingestion
  • Mode of Action: Almite contains spore and mycelia fragments , the spores of the fungus when comes in contact with the cuticle of the target pest insect, it germinates and grows directly through the spiracle in the cuticle into the inner body of the host, the fungus proliferates throughout the insect body, draining the nutrients of the insects and the infected insects die.

Usage & Crops

Recommended Crops: Flowers, Vegetables, Fruits, Cereals, Millets, Pulses, Oilseeds, Fiber Crops, Sugar Crops, Forage Crops, Plantation crops, Spices, Medicinal crops, Aromatic Crops, Orchards and Ornamentals.

Target Pests: Mite, Diamond back moth, Whitefly, Aphids, & Thrips

Dosage:

  • Mix Almite at the proportion of 2 to 3 ml per liter of water/ drip irrigation / FYM.
  • Individual Plants 2 ml or 2 gm / L of water & apply directly into the soil.
  • Method of Application: Foliar Spray

Additional Information

  • Almite is found to be compatible with other insecticides and fungicides.
