Protect carrot crop from leaf blight

Carrot blight disease

Blight disease in carrot appears on leaves as small variously-sized dark brown to black lesions on margins or edges. In uncontrolled severe infections, the lesions enlarge killing leaflets with brown colour. The older leaves of carrot are infected initially and later disease also appear on younger leaves.

Similar symptoms are observed both at fungal and bacterial blights on carrot crop. The following sprays may be administered to manage the carrot blight.

Carrot blifht disease

First spray

Kavach 2 gm/litre + Econeem 1 % - 1 mL /L + Plantomycin 0.5 gm/L

Controlling leaf blight of carrot

2nd Spray – if required

Cuprina 2 g/litre + Ampoxcilin – 1g/litre + Bactosan 3 gm/L

Powdery Mildew on Mango flowers

Since mango flowering is in cooler climates, the powdery mildew disease is most common, anthracnose is another disease which affects mango flowers and fruit lets.

Viral diseases management in Potato crop

Mosaic virus and Leaf roll viral diseases are two common viral infections usually appears on potato. Mosaic viral infections shows the green and yellow mosaic stripes on plants and growth of the plant is stunted.

Since viral infections are spread by sucking pests like Thrips and whiteflies the sucking pests need to be managed.

Ammoniacal nitrogen has also positive advantage for viral infections so take care of ammoniacal nitrogen application.

Protect Chickpea and other pulses from damping off disease

Dam-ing off disease of Chickpea and pea

Seeds sown into the soil while germinating are killed by the damping-off disease before emerging out of the ground. Sudden death of seedlings or Damping off is a disease often caused by soil-borne fungus. The young tender stems will become soft and eventually turns black killing the seedlings.

Sowing or broadcasting the seeds after treatment will reduce the soil borne infections and protect from damping off.

Seed Treatment

Dissolve 100 mL Humicas + Ridomet 25 gm/ kg and evenly coat on one kg of Channa [ Chickpea], Pea seeds or any pulses seeds

Root treatment Drenching

Young seedlings may be drenched with the following combinations. These combinations will not only protect the seedlings form fungal attack but also provide the required growth promoting substances for the better growth and yield of the crops.

Ridomet 0.75 gm/L + Humesol 4 mL/L 50 -100 mL per plant can be drenched twice at 10 days interval with Biological treatment in between two applications.

Biological application with: Treat 10 – 15 gm/L + Bactosan 5 gm/L + Humesol 4 mL/L 250 mL per plant.

Rust disease control in Wheat

Rust disease on plants is one of the common fungal diseases on wheat crop. Usually the rust disease is more prominent on cold, wet humid climates.

The rust disease appears in yellow, orange, red, rust, brown, or black coloured powdery pustules on leaves, young shoots, and panicles.

Plant growth, development and productivity are largely reduced. Plants wither and die back at severe infections.

Kavach 2 gm /L + Spot 10 gm/L + Econeem plus 1 % - 1 mL/L
