About Suntech Calvin Insecticides

• CALVIN Insecticide is a Suntech Agriscience product.
• It contains Chlorpyriphos 50% EC.
• It is a broad-spectrum, versatile organophosphate insecticide formulated as an emulsifiable concentrate (EC), delivering potent contact, stomach, and vapor (fumigant) action against aggressive foliar pests, soil-dwelling insects, and subterranean invaders.
• CALVIN Insecticide is used against stem borers, leaf folders, bollworms, diamondback moths (DBM), fruit and shoot borers, cutworms, termites, root grubs, aphids, and jassids.
• It is recommended on cotton, paddy (rice), sugarcane, chilli, tomato, brinjal, potato, groundnut, pulses, and plantation crops.

Mode of Action

• Mode of Entry: Penetrates target pests through direct contact, stomach ingestion, and strong vapor (fumigant) action that flushes out pests concealed within leaf folds and soil crevices.
• Mode of Action: Organophosphate chemistry that acts as an irreversible inhibitor of the acetylcholinesterase (AChE) enzyme in insect nervous systems, causing excessive accumulation of acetylcholine, continuous neural firing, muscle twitching, rapid paralysis, and death.

Dosage per Acre

• Per Litre of Water (Foliar Spray): 1.5 ml – 2.0 ml (approx. 25 ml – 30 ml per 15-litre spray pump)
• Per Acre (Foliar Spray): 350 ml – 500 ml in 150–200 litres of water (for field crops, paddy, cotton, and vegetables)
