About Suntech Calvin 10GR Insecticides
- CALVIN 10GR Insecticide is a Suntech Agriscience product.
- It contains Chlorpyriphos 10% GR.
- It is a broad-spectrum organophosphate soil insecticide formulated as sand/carrier granules, delivering powerful contact, stomach, and vapor/fumigant action against subterranean pests and early foliar attackers.
- CALVIN 10GR Insecticide is used against termites, white grubs, root grubs, root borers, stem borers, whorl maggots, gall midges, cutworms, and early shoot borers.
- It is recommended on paddy (rice), sugarcane, cotton, groundnut, maize, wheat, potato, and vegetables.

Mode of Action
- Mode of Entry: Non-systemic granular insecticide acting through direct soil contact, stomach (ingestion) absorption, and strong soil-phase vapor (fumigant) action that penetrates soil crevices.
- Mode of Action: Organophosphate chemistry that inhibits the acetylcholinesterase (AChE) enzyme in insect nervous systems, leading to acetylcholine accumulation, continuous nerve impulse transmission, paralysis, and rapid pest mortality.
