About Product

• Kalichakra (Metarhizium anisopliae) is an eco-friendly biological insecticide.
• It can effectively control insects pests like white grub and root grub, loopers, cutworms, sucking pests, etc. Effective Control of Root Grub, Termites & Sucking Pests It infects all the stages of insects including eggs, larvae, pupal, nymphal, and adults.
• The spores attach to insect skin, germinate and penetrate the insect body, and cause mortality by feeding on the insect, leakage of internal content, and toxin such as dextrusion released by the fungus.
• The insect body ultimately gets covered with green mycelium and spores, which may get dispersed and cause subsequent infections.

Features

• Controls egg, larvae, pupal, nymphal and adult stages of White grub, Termites, Beetles grubs, Cutworm, Aphids, and Mealy bugs.

Mode of Action

• The spores / mycelia of Metarhizium when comes in contact with the insect body and colonizes the host body thereby killing it.
• Destruxins produced by the fungus eventually weakens

Dosage

• Soil application- For soil insect pests like White Grubs, Agrotis species, etc. Mix 2 Kg of Kalichakra with 200 kg of well-decomposed fym/compost/field soil and broadcast in the field of 1 acre at the time of field preparation or in standing crop.
• Foliar spray – It can be applied @ 2 Kg per acre ( 1L per acre) in 150-200 liters of water for sucking pest control. As a foliar spray apply uniformly over crop using a hand sprayer or power sprayer with an appropriate hollow cone nozzle for fine mist generation.

• Crop Suitability - Maize, Cotton, Sugarcane, Tomato, Potato, Barley, Groundnut, Paddy, Sorghum, Soyabean, Vegetables and Fruit Crops.
• Important recommendation/direction for use Application at the time of pest appearance. Repeat application after 7 days. A number of applications depend upon pest infestation.
