Chanakya (214) is a bitter gourd variety characterized by a high fruit set and high yield. It provides continuous fruiting with a longer harvest and boasts a good shelf life. The variety shows good tolerance to CMV (Cucumber Mosaic Virus) and moderate tolerance to PM (Powdery Mildew). The plant has strong vigor with dense foliage. It is recommended for sowing during the Late Winter, Early Summer, and Rainy seasons.

CHANAKYA Specifications

The fruit is a Spindle shaped medium long fruit with sharp dense prickles and a Dark green color. It is classified in the Green long - Prickles segment. Fruit length is typically 16–18 cm (main description) or 20–22 cm (practices table), and the diameter is 3.5–4.5 cm. Fruit weight generally ranges from 120–150 gm (main description) or 140–160 gm (practices table). The first harvest occurs approximately 55–60 days after sowing (DAS) (main description) or 58-60 days (practices table)
