About Suntech Glyphosun Herbicides

• GLYPHOSUN Herbicide is a Suntech Agriscience product.
• It contains Glyphosate 41% SL (Isopropylamine salt).
• It is a non-selective, broad-spectrum, post-emergence systemic herbicide formulated as a soluble liquid concentrate (SL), delivering complete systemic eradication of deep-rooted perennial, biennial, and annual grasses, sedges, and broadleaf weeds.
• GLYPHOSUN Herbicide is used against Cynodon dactylon (Bermuda/Doob grass), Cyperus rotundus (purple nutsedge/Motha), Sorghum halepense (Johnson grass), Imperata cylindrica, Digitaria sanguinalis, Parthenium hysterophorus, Ageratum conyzoides, Commelina benghalensis, and Echinochloa spp.
• It is recommended for tea plantations, fruit orchards (directed application), bund and channel clearing, zero-tillage field preparation, and non-cropped industrial areas.

Mode of Action

• Mode of Entry: Absorbed rapidly through green foliage, leaf cuticles, and active green stems, moving systemically via phloem and xylem vessels throughout the entire weed architecture down into underground root structures, rhizomes, tubers, and stolons.
• Mode of Action: EPSP Synthase Inhibitor (HRAC Group 9 / G). It specifically inhibits the 5-enolpyruvylshikimate-3-phosphate (EPSP) synthase enzyme in the shikimate pathway, preventing the biosynthesis of essential aromatic amino acids (phenylalanine, tyrosine, and tryptophan) and protein synthesis, resulting in total destruction of both foliar canopy and underground vegetative reproductive parts within 7–14 days.

Dosage per Acre

• Per Litre of Water: 7.0 ml – 10.0 ml (approx. 100 ml – 150 ml per 15-litre spray pump; use 12–15 ml per litre for tough, established perennial grasses like Cynodon and Cyperus)
• Per Acre (Directed / Post-Emergence Foliar Spray): 1000 ml – 1200 ml in 150–200 litres of clean water (for general annual and biennial weeds)
