Product Description

About Product

  • Blue copper is a copper based broad spectrum fungicide which controls the fungal as well as bacterial diseases by its contact action.
  • It is effectively controlling the fungus resistant to other fungicides.
  • It sticks to the leaves due to its fine particles and helps to restrict the growth of the fungus.
  • Blue copper gradually releases copper ions due to less solubility, thereby it controls the disease for a longer period.

Technical Details

  • Technical Content: Copper Oxychloride 50 % WP
  • Mode of Entry: Contact fungicide
  • Mode of Action: Blue copper fungicides involve the release of copper ions, which are toxic to fungal spores. These ions work by denaturing proteins and enzymes within the fungal cells, effectively disrupting their normal function. The copper ions bind to the sulphohydril groups of certain enzymes, which inactivates them and prevents the fungus from growing and reproducing.
