                                  ಪ್ರಮುಖ ತರಕಾರಿ ಬೆಳೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾದ ಮೆಣಸಿನಕಾಯಿ (ಕ್ಯಾಪ್ಸಿಕಂ ಆನಮ್) ಬೆಳೆಯು ಅದರ ಖಾರವಾದ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳಿಂದ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪ್ರಾಮುಖ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದು, ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಾದ್ಯಂತ ವ್ಯಾಪಕವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದರ ಹಸಿರು ಹಾಗೂ ಕೆಂಪು ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಎರಡಕ್ಕೂ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಬೆಡಿಕೆಯಿದ್ದು, ರೈತರಿಗೆ ಇದೊಂದು ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯಿಕ ಬೆಳೆಯಾಗಿ ಹೊರಹೊಮ್ಮಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಇತ್ತೀಚಿನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೆಣಸಿನಕಾಯಿ ಬೆಳೆಯು ಹಲವಾರು ನಂಜುರೋಗಗಳಿಗೆ (ವೈರಸ್) ಹೆಚ್ಚು ತುತ್ತಾಗುವುದು ಕಂಡುಬಂದಿದ್ದು, ಇದರಿಂದ ಬೆಳೆಯ ಇಳುವರಿ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ, ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಈ ರೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಕೂಲಕರ ವಾತಾವರಣ ಇದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಬೆಳೆಯನ್ನು ನಾಶಪಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.        ಮೆಣಸಿನಕಾಯಿ ಬೆಳೆಗೆ ತಗಲುವ ನಂಜುರೋಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖವಾದವುಗಳೆಂದರೆ ಎಲೆ ಮುದುಡು ಅಥವಾ ಎಲೆ ಸುರುಳಿ ನಂಜುರೋಗ, ತಂಬಾಕು ಮೊಸಾಯಿಕ್ ನಂಜುರೋಗ (Tobacco Mosaic Virus), ಟಾಸ್ಪೋ ನಂಜುರೋಗ TOSPO VIRUS (ಟೊಮ್ಯಾಟೊ ಮಚ್ಚೆ ಸೊರಗು ನಂಜುರೋಗ)   ...
